To light the stove push this to the right. This allows the maximum amount of air into the fire box.
Set the fire by using kindling and small logs to build a frame around a fire lighter block.
When the fire is burning well you can add more wood.
Use the air intake lever to control the heat from the stove. Turn the lever down to the middle setting when the fire is burning nicely. Do not turn it the the minimum setting as this will cause the glass door to blacken up with soot.
Note: If the door becomes sooty it is a sign that the fire is not getting enough air. Push the lever to the right.
